[Week 3: Saturn in Aries] Action
Mercury in Aries, first quarter Moon, and Mars moving forward
Hi, hi, hi!
How are you doing?!
March is already here, and it is arguably the most potent month of the calendar year.
Some of the noteworthy events of March include:
Venus retrograde in Aries and Pisces
Total lunar eclipse at 23°58’ of Virgo
Mercury retrograde in Aries
The Spring Equinox
Partial solar eclipse at 08°53’ of Aries
Neptune ingresses Aries after 150 years of not being in this zodiac sign!
It looks like a lot because IT IS a lot.
2025 is a powerful year with many changes occurring in the same short span of time.
If you want to know more, check this other edition of the newsletter:
I have also created an astrological calendar with relevant events so you can analyze the available energy. Download it for FREE here.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
For this week, I want to focus on three transits:
On March 3rd, Mercury enters Aries.
On March 6th, there’s the First Quarter Moon at 16°21’ of Gemini.
On March 8th, the Sun at 17°52’ of Pisces trines Mars at 17°52’ of Cancer.
The message of these three events is the same: ACTION! 🎬
Mercury in Aries offers a fiery style in terms of communication and learning. Since Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, you can take this opportunity to start a new course or writing project.
Every First Quarter Moon is an invitation to move forward with the intentions you may have crafted one week earlier, during the New Moon.
And the trine between the Sun and Mars indicates that the red planet is definitely moving forward after the retrograde period.
The Sun-Mars trine occurs around 15 days after Mars turns direct. It’s a wake-up call. Mars is moving forward and propels you into the future. Balance is restored, and you have recovered from the sluggishness of the retrograde period.
This text from my blog covers the ins and outs of this cycle. Check it out: Mars Retrograde: Effects and Insights
Since I’m writing about Mars, I want to make a connection between this planet and the first Saturn return.
Keep reading to find that connection and guidance on navigating it.
The role of Mars during the first Saturn return
Cycles of seven years have been used to measure life’s phases since ancient times.
Most recently, Argentinian astrologer Beatriz Leveratto classified each 7-year life cycle based on the planet that rules them.
To simplify, I covered the cycles from birth until the second Saturn return in a cute graphic. Here it goes:
As you can see, Mars rules the fifth cycle of life, the cycle that goes from 28 to 35 years of age and contains the first Saturn return.
Mars is the astrological symbol dominating the period from ages 28 to 35. The functions associated with this planet are to activate, burn, risk, conquer, desire, execute, undertake, eroticize, drive, become independent, and project yourself.
In this Martian period, you launch yourself into conquering your deepest desires.
11 common experiences from 28 to 35
Among the most noteworthy characteristics of the Martian period that goes from 28 to 35, Leveratto mentions the following:
Search for independence and self-determination.
Pursuit of personal projects like starting a family or a new profession.
High energy directed to achieving goals.
Manifestation of your life’s purpose formed in recent years.
Desire for accomplishments that confirm your chosen vocation.
Aspiration to realize love ideals.
Formation of a new life structure by leaving the family of origin.
Need to express unique and creative aspects of your personality.
Birth of children, an experience that shapes your creativity.
Experimentation with new power dynamics in relationships.
Heightened sensitivity to the sacred through new dreams.
Do any of these items resonate with your current situation? I bet they do.
This may seem abrupt, but I want to go to the prompts already. I prefer you take action rather than filling yourself with information that you’ll never use.
So grab your dedicated journal, and let’s go!
Prompts for Week 3
Write [Week 3: Saturn in Aries] Action on top of the page, and the week we’re in, just like we did in the last edition.
Have you started watching any of the shows I recommended last week? I’m absolutely delighted with Better Call Saul. Breaking Bad walked so Better Call Saul could fly! Last week, I suggested watching the Netflix show Love because season two was launched during the previous Venus retrograde in Aries in 2017 and because it is, well, about love, one of Venus’ most prominent topics. I stand by that suggestion, but if you’re struggling to choose another show, I recommend GLOW. Why? The show is fantastic, and one of the characters is going through her first Saturn return, but there’s another astrological reason. I have heard, in the more than 7 hours long (!) edition of The Astrology Podcast about Venus retrograde in Aries, that wrestling started to become really popular in the United States during the Venus in Aries retrograde of 1985. That’s the year where the show takes place, and the show was launched in 2017, a few months after Venus ended its retrogradation in Aries. Since I have already watched it, I’ll indulge in the True Detective season in which Jodie Foster is the protagonist because she has Venus retrograde in her birth chart. Do you need more options? No worries. Check the shows that were nominated to the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards because they covered television programming from June 1, 2016, until May 31, 2017.
Re-read the 11 points astrologer Beatriz Leveratto considers to be common in the period that goes from ages 28 to 35. Write 3 already happening in your life and 3 not happening right now (but that you want to see actualized before the end of the 7-year cycle.) For example, let’s assume you are already exercising point 1, so you can journal about it. At the same time, you would also like to have kids (point 9), but it hasn’t occurred to you yet. Journal about that, too. Choose 3 things that are already happening and 3 that haven’t manifested yet. After journaling, don’t do anything about these actions for now. Let them marinate.
Write a list of 10 pending things you need to solve. They don’t have to be big. Choose those actions that occupy your mind, and you keep procrastinating. They could be something like finishing that online course you have to finish, making an appointment with the doctor, or completing the paperwork for something you need. Remember that we are finishing the astrological year, so think of this list as small things you must do to start the new year with a clean slate.
Take a step, even if it feels small and insignificant, to resolve some of the pressing issues you have written in the list. Action creates momentum and the Saturn return is a prime time to act responsibly and be accountable. By completing your pending tasks, you’ll become more assertive and resourceful. You’ll improve your self-confidence because you’ll know you can walk the talk. You’ll trust yourself more because you’ll realize that you can trust that you’ll do what you said you’ll do. Don’t worry if the task that gets completed is super tiny. Getting it done is the goal here. We are exercising the action muscles slowly.
This one is a short edition of the newsletter, but it definitely packs a punch.
A lot is going on in the sky, and I don’t want you to be overwhelmed.
I don’t know if slow and steady wins the race. But I know that approach definitely allows you to keep going, and that’s what I’m all about. Burnout is not cool. Sustainability is way better.
I would be delighted to hear from you! Let me know your thoughts and feelings in the comments.
With love,
Valentina
P.S.: My friend MJ, a hardcore Swiftie, told me that it could be possible for Taylor to re-launch Reputation soon. It would be thrilling if she does it during this Venus retrograde because she was in her original reputation era when Venus was retrograde in Aries in 2017. What do you think? Is the album coming in March or the first half of April? Chime in!

It’s not too late to start preparing for your Saturn return if you have Saturn in Aries in your birth chart.
To do so, you can read the latest editions of the newsletter in this order:
I was coming to the comments to ask where I can get one of those stickers and I stumbled upon a very cute mention of my name🥹 I loved the appositive phrase next to it🫶
What a month! Alexa, play “…Ready for it?”😎🐍🖤
